FAQ
What is a "stem"?
In audio mixing and mastering, stems are individual, grouped audio tracks that form the complete song. Instead of a single stereo master file, stems provide separate files for distinct sections of the mix, such as drums, bass, guitars, and vocals. This breakdown gives mixers and mastering engineers the flexibility to adjust and process each instrument group independently, allowing for a more refined and customized final product.
What genres do you mix?
Our main focus is on Hip-Hop/Rap music. While we mix & master all sub-genres, we specialize in "Boom Bap".
What DAWs/plug-ins/hardware do you use?
We primarily mix in Logic Pro & Ableton Live using Universal Audio Apollo interfaces. Our main monitoring system consists of ADAM Audio A7X mains, Sub10 MK2 subs, and Auratone 5Cs. We use plug-ins from Universal Audio, FabFilter, Sonnox, Cradle, Serato, Plugin Alliance, Slate Digital, and Solid State Logic, to name a few.
